About Gabriela Milene Wilson
I was born in St. Antao, Cape Verde on December 21 1993. I lived there until I was adopted at six years old. My family and I moved to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
As years passed, so did the resume of places I've lived in. I was lucky enough to have lived in many countries, including Oman, Italy and France, where I currently live.
In highschool I got into the habit of taking photos almost every day. Most of them were blurry and unappealing but taking photos is what kept me happy.
When I started studying at the American University Paris, I joined the journalism team and worked as one of the top photographers for our school magazine, Peacock.
It wasn't until I held the final copy of our magazine and saw my photos in print that I realised photography was what I wanted to do as a profession.
Having only taken one photography class, I knew it would be a challenge, but what better way to start than to just jump in head first; and that's how I started this website.
